Net4India started its operation as an Internet service provider company in 1985 but later changed to a domain registrar like GoDaddy. In 2013, the State Bank of India declared it a non-performing asset. The bad time for Net4India started a few years ago when the company took business loans and failed to repay them, therefore, Edelweiss sued Net4India in the court of law for the recovery of the loan amount back in March 2019. As per a report by NDTV, In 2013, Net4 India Ltd managing director Jasjit Singh Sawhney was arrested by the service tax department officers for not depositing service tax.<\/p>

Nixi was informed that domain registrar Net 4 India, who is one of the oldest domain registrars of NIXI for Country code domain .IN is closing it business operations. Nixi decided not to discontinue the .IN domain Services for users whose renewal is due till December 2020,” Nixi said.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

ICANN had also suspended Net 4 India’s ability to register new domains and initiated inbound transfers in June 2019. This step was taken due to the ongoing insolvency proceedings.<\/p>
