Software as a service offers software applications tailored to a wide variety of business needs over the Internet, on demand and on a subscription basis. In SaaS, cloud service providers host and manage the software applications and infrastructure, handle maintenance, like software upgrades and security patching. Users connect to the application hosted on cloud over the Internet, usually with a web browser on their mobile, pc or laptop.
